On Tuesday the 16th July, the class 1 children from Chelford primary school came in force to Gauntlet to build an insect hotel.
With the average garden holding around 2000 different species of insect, we guessed Gauntlet may have a few more than that, so what better way to encourage our natural species than to build them a 5 story insect hotel.
The children aged from 4 to 6 came in force and worked so hard building the hotel similar to the one they have done on their school grounds. They also found quite a few bugs whilst collecting the matter and transported them straight into the top floor.
A big thanks to all the children and staff at Chelford school for creating such a great conservation feature.
